The Spirit and Intent of Land Based Education held by Peguis Consultation and Special Projects. Oct. 16-18, 2024. Was held at 1029 Donald Road RM of West St. Paul.

Tuesday October 15, 2024 CAMP DAY!

Onsite camping for participants. Students participating must have chaperone if camping. Must have own camping gear, chairs and clothing.

24-hour security on site / No alcohol or drugs on sacred grounds, violators will be asked to leave.

 

Schedule Day 1 – October 16, 2024

8 am – 9:30 am – Teaching Lodges and Activity Lodges Set up

9 am – 9:45 am – Arrival of schools, students & guests

10 am – 10:30 am – Pipe & Water Ceremony – Under main tent

10:30 am – 11 am – Welcoming remarks Chief Stan Bird & Council

11 am – 12:00 – Teaching Lodges under Tipi’s & Hands on activities

11am – 12 Noon – Keynote Speaker, Dr Kathleen Bird Elder & Medicine Women.

12 Noon – 1 pm – Lunch Wild game feast

1 pm – 2pm – Shirley Ewanchuk – Birthing Teachings with Sturgeon BIG TENT

1 pm – 4 pm – Teaching Lodge under Tipi’s & Hands on Activities
